The sucess and quality finish is all down to preparation, preparation. and preparation. Colm will prepare the walls and if necessary apply heavy duty lining paper - horizontally crosslined.. A coat of size is then applied and allowed to dry before hanging finished wall coverings.
Different wallpaper manufacturers will supply paper in different widths, textures and styles. Many requiring specific types of adhesives.
Some papers require trimming which involves overlapping and cutting the paper on the wall - this is a very specialist technique - with many decorators not having this skill.
Whether wallpapering or painting - the secret of success is in the preparation. The amount of preparation will be assessed by Colm prior to providing a written quotation for the works.
There are different approaches to dealing with walls that require attention: including finning cracks & holes; skimming or applying lining paper.
One of Colms specialisation is applying lining paper and final finish before applying the finish paint coating.
